Shri Chandrashekhar Azad

Warrior And Freedom Fighter

Tribute To Immortal Warrior And Freedom Fighter

Our tribute to immortal warrior and freedom fighter Shri Chandrashekhar Azad Tiwari on his 115th birth anniversary. He was born on 23 July, 1906 in Bhabhra village, near Jhansi. He was only 25 years old when he shot himself dead on 27 February, 1931.

His mother wanted him to be a Sanskrit scholar and at the age of fifteen, he joined Kashi Vidyapeeth but Azad couldn’t overlook the calling of the nation and joined in movement for independence.

He worked for Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) founded by Pt Ramprasad Bismil. He was a great strategists, planner and leader.

We are proud in displaying his weapon (pistol), a poster released by British administration, a specimen of his beautiful handwriting; and his digitally restored photo shared by @ALLU on twitter with great admiration to his initiative.
